The Kherson ship-building factory has put in operation the dry-cargo ship designed by Odessa engineers

ODESSA, APRIL, 02ND, 2008, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE On March, 31st Kherson ship-building factory has put in operation a dry-cargo vessel «Kaya Pioneer» with the deadweight of 8 thousand 473 t, designed by the Odessa Sea Engineering Bureau, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The agency was informed about this today, on April, 2nd, in press-service of OSEB. It was noted in the press-service that the vessel is a sea one-decked, one-screw cargoship with 4 cargo holds, bulbous bow, double bottom, double board, with a tank, a fodder arrangement of an engine room and an habitable additional storey. The dry-cargo ship is intended for transportation of the general, bulk, grain, large-sized and dangerous cargoes. Autonomy 30 day. Crew 16 persons.

The laying of keel of a vessel took place on September, 7th, 2007

INFORMATION: Joint-stock company «Sea engineering bureau» was registered on March, 23, 1995 in Odessa. Bureau it is created by group of scientific employees of shipbuilding faculty of the Odessa national sea university. The sea Engineering Bureau is engaged in development of pre-contract, classification projects, projects of «conversion», modernization and renewal of the vessels, the internal and mixed navigation, preparation of projects of increase of carrying capacity and capacity of containers of the vessels , development of ship programs and other.
