The towboat for Cyprian «UGTRANS TERMINAL Co LIMITED» is under construction in Kherson

KHERSON, APRIL, 26TH, 2008, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — Kherson ship-building complex (director Nikolay Avdeev) together with shipbuilding-ship-repair factory of Komintern ASK «UKRRECHFLOT» (director Grigory Vovchuk) continues construction of a towboat «Bulbash» of the TG03project (building factory number 003) for the navigable company «UGTRANS TERMINAL» (director Alexander Annenkov), “Context-Prichernomorie” correspondent reports.

The agency was informed about this by the representative of the enterprise.

Laying of keel has been carried out in Kherson city on September, 26th, 2007.

TG03 project is developed by «Sea Engineering Bureau», Odessa.

The towboat represents the steel one-decked, twin-screw steam-ship, with a ledge of a main deck, with an average arrangement of a superstructure on a main deck and an engine room.

The towboat is intended for canting works in ports and transport towages within the limits of spot-check.

The project is developed on a class of the Russian Sea Register of Navigation of KM Ice2 R3 (Tug).

Maximum length makes 19,80 m, dimensional width — 7,50 m, width on a cargo waterline — 7,40 m, height of a board — 3,70 m, height of a board in area of a ledge of a main deck — 4,40 m.

The towing hook (3T type) with shock-absorbers and hit extinguishers, with fastening on the probe (traction effort 160 kn), fixed on sealed end of engine-room is stipulated as the towing device. The device of its manual and automatic feedback is also stipulated.

Two high-speed diesel engines designed by VOLVO PENTA (D16 MH HE) company by capacity of 442 kw everyone are used as the main engines.

Stocks of fuel are placed in deep-tanks in fodder bulkhead of engine-room.

Speed at loadline drift of 3.0 m and 90 % MDM makes 10 knots.

Two diesel engine-generators with total capacity of 124 kw located in an engine room are stipulated as auxiliary power installation.

Movement and controllability of a towboat is provided with two screws of the fixed step in welded rotary nozzles with a support in propeller anvil with demountable stabilizers. Rowing screws — steel cast 4-vane, diameter — 1,7 m.

Autonomy of navigation in the sea makes 6 day.

The crew consists from 3 person.

Settlement service life of the vessel — 24 years.

The towboat will work in port Crimea and to serve a railway ferry on which Alexander Annenkov's other vessels — 25-carload ferries of the project 002CNF01 «Petrovsk» and «Annenkov» work.

INFORMATION: In 2004 the Crimean council concerning territories of priority development and «PortKrym» has approved business-plan of construction and operation of sea railway ferry complex in port Crimea which will be realized by branch enterprise «TIS-Krym».

Cost of the project makes 34.8 million UAH. Founders of limited liability company «Anros-Krym» (Russia) and «Ugtrans Terminal» (Chyprus) act as investors of the project; Sevastopol ship-repair factory also takes part in the project.

The enterprise plans completely to reconstruct out-of-repair ferry complex: to construct new apparel (lointing unit of a ferry) to get 3 shunting locomotives, the steam-ship.

4 ferries should ply on a ferry by 2009.

Order for construction of the first ferry at the Kherson ship-building factory is already placed.
