MYKOLAIV, SEPTEMBER 8th, 2011, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — Ukrainian-Polish exercise Cossack Steppe 2011 ends in Mykolaiv Region, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The agency has been informed about it today, 8 September, at the press service of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.

According to the press service, bilateral Ukrainian-Polish exercise Cossack Steppe 2011 was officially completed at the military site near Shyrokyi Lan in Mykolaiv. The ceremony was attended by the commander of 25th Air Cavalry Brigade of the Polish Armed Forces, Brigadier General Marek Sokolowski, deputy head of airborne troops of the Land Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel Volodymyr Horuzhyi, acting commander of the 79th Separate Airmobile Brigade Command Army Forces of Ukraine, Colonel Yuri Klyat .

Addressing the participants, distinguished guests expressed their satisfaction with the training and the way Ukrainian and Polish soldiers acted.

“All the tasks assigned to the participants of the event were completed. And the Polish and Ukrainian paratroopers demonstrated professionalism and high military preparedness”, said V. Horuzhyi.

Today, 8 September, the Polish paratroopers will return home.
