The agency was informed about it today 19 November at the State Statistics Administration of Mykolaiv Oblast.

According to the data provided, through the period of January-September 2009 the nine enterprises of the oblast exported 28 thousand tonnes of ferrous materials amounting in total to USD 6 million which is 87 percent less then in the same period last year.

Ferrous materials (mainly scrap iron, iron and plain steel semi-finished products, bars and sticks, flat bar) were exported to nine countries, among which Turkey was the leader (95 percent of export), 3 percent fell on Greece, and the rest on Moldova, Guinea, Norway, The British Virgin Islands, Belarus, India and Cyprus.
