MYKOLAIV, JUNE, 26th, 2009, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE – Since the beginning of 2009 Mykolaiv Merchant Sea Port operated about 4 million tons of cargoes, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The agency was informed about it today, 26 June at the press-service of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Ukraine.

According to the press-service, the port operated the same amount of cargoes during the entire 2004.

For almost 6 months of the current year the company got 24,5 million of pure income. 47 million 700 thousand UAH were transferred into the budgets of all levels, that is 40 percent more than for the same period last year.

Average monthly salary at the port makes 4 thousand 470 UASH that is 50 percent more than last year.

INFORMATION: Mykolaiv Merchant Sea Port was founded in 1862. The port’s territory spreads over 94 hectares and its territorial water occupy 225 hectares, the depth reaches 10,5 metres. The port owns 36 port cranes, 89 forklift trucks having production capacity range from 1,5 to 25 tons.
