Delegation from Iran on a visit to Mykolaiv Port

MYKOLAIV, MARCH, 2nd, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE – A delegation of Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines (IRISL) and the Black Sea General Shipping Agency INFLOT has been on visit to the Mykolaiv Commercial Sea Port, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The agency was informed about it today 2 March at the press-service of GE Mykolaiv Commercial Sea Port.

According to their information, the aim of the delegation’s visit was to get familiar with the ports new facilities in the sphere of bulk cargo operations and also to discuss the prospects of their future economic cooperation. They also discussed geographic peculiarities of the port’s location and the trade routes going through the region, as well as prospective plans of the port’s development with in its Development Programme adopted by the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Ukraine and finally the prospects of cooperation with IRISL.

A number of media previously reported, IRISL has been planning to become one of the largest shipping companies trying to carry out container transhipments through of one of the largest Ukrainian ports. Last year the delegation from IRISL visited the ports of Odesa and Illichivsk in order to organise container feeder communication via Ukrainian, Romanian and Bulgarian ports.

That time Black Sea General Shipping Agency INFLOT became IRISL’s official partner.
