Ukrainian Helsinki Human Rights Union opens an office in Mykolaiv

MYKOLAIV, MARCH, 24th, 2010, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE – Ukrainian Helsinki Human Rights Union has opened their representative office in Mykolaiv, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

Yelena Kabashnaya, Head of the Mykolaiv Independent Women’s Organization Dana, informed the agency about it today 24 March.

As she informed, the offices of the Ukrainian Helsinki Human Rights Union are already operative in 12 regions of the country. The 13th office was opened in Mykolaiv on the basis of the Mykolaiv Independent Women’s Organization Dana.

The office will provide people with free legal help concerning human rights humiliation, as well as protection of the human rights. The Myokoliav office will provide legal help in the following spheres: informing and consulting, help with documents, including court suits, help with getting the document ready to apply to the International Court of Human Rights. In certain cases lawyers will be provided to represent citizens at court.
