NIKOLAEV, DECEMBER, 2ND, 2008, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE – 18 kg of marijuana were confiscated by the law enforcement officers last week, IA “Context-Prichernomorie” correspondent reports.

This was reported to the agency today, on December 2nd, in the CDS of MHAD in Nikolaev region.

Thus, on November 28th the employees of the department of illegal drug traffic control found and confiscated 10 kg of marijuana during the authorized search in one of the apartments in Naberezhnaya st.

A 25 year old worker of Yuzhnoukrainsk NPP in the apartment of whose the drugs were revealed was arrested according to art. 115 of CC of Ukraine.

It was established that the man was keeping the drugs with the aim of traffic. Now he can be threatened by penalty in the form of imprisonment for the term of up to 3 years specified in art. 309 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The same day5 kg of marijuana were found and confiscated in the house of unemployed local citizen born in 1975 during the authorized search in Vasilyevka village of Voznesensk district of Nikolaev region that he was also keeping with the aim of traffic. And on November 25th operational purchase of marijuana was held in the same Vasilyevka village of Voznesensk district of Nikolaev region by the residence location of a 35 year old unemployed man in the course of which the employees of the department of illegal drugs traffic “bought” 3 kg of marijuana.

The seller was arrested and is awaiting punishment.
