ODESA, JANUARY 25th, 2012, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — US Navy ship Vella Gulf will arrive in Odesa on unofficial visit, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The press office of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine informed today, 25 January.

According to the office, from 26 January to February 1, US navy ship Vella Gulf will be on an unofficial visit to the ports of Sevastopol and Odesa. The schedule of the visit includes meetings of the commander of the American ship and accompanying persons in command of the navy and Western naval base in the Ukrainian Navy.

The department noted that the programme of the visit also provides a briefing onboard Vella Gulf for Chief Petty Officer Naval Forces of Ukraine.

The Department added that the American sailors expressed their desire to implement several humanitarian projects and to get acquainted with historical places of Sevastopol and Odesa.
