ODESA, MAY 21st, 2013, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE ― The rector of the Odesa National Mechnikov University Igor Koval has stated that currently Odesa National Mechnikov University has partnerships with more than 170 foreign universities, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

Igor Koval noted it today, 21 May, during a press conference.

“Today, there are a lot of talks about the Days of Europe, the integration into Europe. So, in these conversations a lot of common phrases and which not always have the specifics. And in the case of our university, we take concrete steps towards European integration and the creation of a single European educational space. Odesa National Mechnikov University currently has partnerships with more than 170 foreign universities, institutes, academies. It must be said that the vast majority are actually working contracts which bring benefits to us and our partners. Special attention recent years, we pay to the most popular in the world the European programme “Erasmus Mundus”. It is an educational programme of the European Union, which allows carrying out the exchange of teachers, graduate students, and students on a variety periods of the internships and trainings. This whole programme is funded by the European Union ― and accommodation, and training, and health insurance ― all are under the financial assistance of the European Union,” the rector noted.
