MYKOLAIV, APRIL 18th, 2011, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — Mykolaiv Governor Nikolay Kruglov has held talks over agricultural cooperation with a delegation of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The press service of Mykolaiv Regional State Administration informed about it today, 18 April.

According to their information, the delegation of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Ukraine headed by the Adviser on Economic Affairs Mr Song Kim-Yong and the heads of several leading agro-industrial corporations and finance department director, the Korean bank's import-export.

In the morning, the foreign guests visited the GE Mykolaiv Commercial Sea Port and Nibulon.

The Korean delegation was interested in the possibility of land allocation in the Mykolaiv region for agricultural investment projects, as well as mechanisms for the protection of foreign investments.

It has also been raised about the risks that may occur during the conduct of agricultural business in Ukraine by foreign companies.

RSA chairman briefed the delegation about the current legislation and innovations planned for the near future, as well as the benefits of Mykolaiv region to implement projects for the production and processing of cereals, legumes, vegetables, etc.

After receiving the official request of the Korean side, state administration will review the proposed projects and will provide an answer on possible options for land allocation.

“Our main task is to ensure optimum use of the main wealth, which is land. I am sure that a good knowledge of Ukrainian legislation and clear his respect for the investor would do without the «pitfalls» of which you speak and conduct business on mutually beneficial conditions”, said N. Kruglov.
