Vice-Governor meets with OSCE representatives

ODESA, AUGUST 16th, 2014, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE ― Deputy Chairman of the Odesa Regional State Administration Sergiy Kalinchuk has met with OSCE Commissioner Adviser on National Minorities and the Special Representative of Odesa Office of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The press service of the Odesa Regional State Administration noted today, August 16.

According to the press service, yesterday, August 15, a meeting of the vice-governor S. Kalinchuk with OSCE Commissioner Adviser on National Minorities Bob Deen and Dmitry Narumov and the Special Representative of Odesa Office of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission Anna Gay.

The event was also attended by the Deputy Director, Department of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Regional State Administration ― Head of External Relations and European Integration Yaroslav Reznikov and Deputy Head of the Department of Culture and Tourism, nationalities and religions ― Head of the State Administration of Nationalities and Religions Elena Petrova.

During the meeting the sides discussed the state and dynamics of inter-ethnic relations, issues of minority rights on the use of languages in the Odesa region.

At the end of the meeting the parties agreed on a possible collaboration and support of a number of projects proposed by the representatives of the OSCE Commissioner on National Minorities.
