ODESA, JUNE 19th, 2013, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE ― Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States to Ukraine John Tefft has stated that the opening of the US Consulate in Odesa is not planned, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The Ambassador noted yesterday, 18 June, at the opening of a memorial plaque on the building of the former US consulate in Odesa.

“At this stage we have no plans to open a consulate in Odesa and other cities of Ukraine. We have recently opened a new US Consulate in Kyiv. However, some our presence exists in Odesa. This is so-called “Window to America” situated in the Odesa National Gorky Academic Library. You can get all the necessary information about us there,” he noted.
