Peoples Deputy Anton Kisse meets with Bulgarian President

ODESA, NOVEMBER 18th, 2013, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE ― Peoples Deputy, the Chairman of the Association of Bulgarians in Ukraine Anton Kisse has met with the President of the Republic of Bulgaria Rosen Plevneliev during his visit to Sofia, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The press service of the deputy noted on Friday, 15 November.

According to the information, the president and Ukrainian guest discussed the economic relations between Bulgaria and Ukraine. In particular, the head of the Bulgarian state has expressed strong support for the signing of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union. R. Plevneliev said that Ukraine should be given preferences in the signing of the Association with the EU, even if the country does not meet its obligations to the European partners.

The two sides also discussed the problems and prospects of a large Bulgarian diaspora in Ukraine. The President informed about his upcoming visit to Ukraine in May 2014 and accepted an invitation to visit Odesa, Bolhrad, and the Bulgarian villages of Odesa region for a meeting with Ukrainian Bulgarians.

The meeting was held in a friendly and open format, both sides were pleased with its results.
