Georgian Parliamentary election in the south of Ukraine demonstrates minimal attendance, Georgian consul says

ODESA, OCTOBER 4th, 2012, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE ― Consul General of Georgia to Odesa Teymuraz Nishnianidze says Georgian Parliamentary election in the south of Ukraine has demonstrated minimal attendance, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports. Teymuraz Nishnianidze stated yesterday, 3 October, at the press conference. According to the Consul, one district was opened in the southern Ukraine. 1430 citizens were registered in Odesa, Mykolaiv, Kherson regions and Crimea. Unfortunately, activity was minimal during the elections. Only 83 people voted: 56 ― for the president party, 18 ― for the opposition and 4 ― for the other party. Our elections were completely quiet, without incidents. The observers from the opposition attended the elections. |
