Odesa receives presidential candidate of Georgia

ODESA, OCTOBER 22nd, 2013, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE ― Odesa has received the Georgian politician, president of the EU-Georgian-Abkhazian-Ossetian international movement for peace, democracy and development (EUGAO), candidate for President of Georgia, Professor Nestan Kirtadze, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The round-table discussion on the economic and business ties between Ukraine and Georgia was held yesterday in Odesa on the initiative and under the auspices of the European Association for the development of business. Among the participants ― representatives of Ukrainian businessmen, officials of the Odesa Regional State Administration and the Georgian delegation headed by the President of the EU-Georgian-Abkhazian-Ossetian international movement for peace, democracy and development (EUGAO) Nestan Kirtadze.

Opening the event, Ms. Kirtadze noted that Georgia will create all possible conditions for the development of the Odesa-Georgian projects. In turn, the chairman of the supreme council of the European Association for the Development of business Andriy Azarov drew attention to the fact that the state of Georgia has already taken the first steps to create the conditions for the Ukrainian investors to start a business and its development in Georgia.

During the round-table, participants discussed the possibilities and prospects of development of business in the countries in different directions, in particular, agriculture. One of the projects in which Ms Kirtadze invited to attend Odesa investors is a creating of open trade centres. Odesa citizens in turn responded to the counter project, whose idea was born during a visit to Georgia in the framework of the Ukrainian-Georgian business forum.
