An EaPTC Communication Expert Tatiana Derevyankina reported yesterday, 28 October, during the briefing.

“We appeal to the media with a request to convey information about the possibility that opens the programme for civil society organizations and public authorities ― to take part in cooperation between Ukraine and Moldova. Cooperation can involve realizing joint projects. The point at issue is that the Ukrainian and Moldovan organizations located in the border regions of Ukraine: Odesa, Chernivtsi, Vinnytsia regions, as well as in Moldova can implement joint projects. Priorities for cooperation are socio-economic development, improving the quality of life of people living in the border areas, these are problems that are common for these regions on both sides of the border. Issues in the sphere of protection of environment, cooperation in the field of education and sport, cultural exchange, sports competitions,” she noted.

“The main condition is the presence of representatives of the project of Ukraine and Moldova. It is not allowed political parties, religious organizations and for-profit business organizations.

Projects must be completed before the end of 2016. We plan to begin accepting applications in July 2014, three or four months is a review of applications and the determination of winners, more than a month ― the signing of the contract, and 2015-2016 are for the execution of a project,” Mrs Tatiana Derevyankina added.
