Cargo turnover at Illichevsk port for the 12 months amounted to 16.3 million tons

Odessa, 05 JANUARY 2017, CONTEXT-Prichernomorie — In January-December the total turnover of public and private stevedoring companies working on the territory of the Illichevsk sea port amounted to 16 million 278.37 thousand tons and decreased by 5.9% compared to the same period indicator, the correspondent of IA «Context-Prichernomorie» reports.

It was reported to the agency today, January 05, in the press-service of the SE «Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority».

In a press-service reported that according to operational data, the total cargo turnover at Illichevsk port in January-December amounted to 16 million 278.37 thousand tons, which is 5.9% less than in January-December of 2015.

Liquid cargoes during the period processed 1 million 383.98 thousand tons (79.8% against Jan-Dec 2015); bulk dry cargo —12 million 162.05 thousand tons (97.2%); unitized cargo — 2 million 732.34 thousand tons (89.6%).

REFERENCE: Illichevsk sea port is in the process of changing the name — the Sea port «Chernomorsk» in accordance with the law on decommunization.

The port area stretches along the strip of berths from the entrance of the inland Sukhoi Liman into the second basin to the ferry complex including the third pool. The port can take vessels up to 275 m (in some cases up to 300 m with the permission of the captain of the port). Approach channel of the port has a length of 1.4 km and width of 160 m and depth 16 m.
