ODESSA, JANUARY 15th, 2015, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — Not more than 30 cruise ships scheduled to calls at Odessa port this year, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The Head of Administration of the Odessa seaport Mikhail Sokolov said today, January 15, during a press conference on the results of the port of Odessa in 2014 and the administration's plans for 2015.

“Recent events in the country impacted very negative on cruise traffic. Only 32 of the planned 159 ship calls were carried out during 2014 at the port of Odessa, including 4 — river ships. Initially, in 2015 were 91 applications from cruise companies, now we are talking about a possible call at the port of Odessa this year is not more than 30 vessels. Everything will depend on how events will unfold in Ukraine. We hope for the greatest possible number of ship calls,” he noted.
