Weight complexes of Odessa and Ilyichivsk Sea Ports preparing for the switch to electronic docflow

ODESSA, JANUARY 23rd, 2015, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE Container port operator SC HPC Ukraina has switched to transfer information about the results of weighing containers with goods electronically in real time, and now other weight complexes of Odessa and Ilyichivsk seaports on the waiting list, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The press service of the Administration of the Ports of Ukraine noted today, 23 January.

According to the information, starting from 20 January 2015, the largest container port operator HPC Ukraina transmits ISPS real-time information in electronic form on the results of the weighing containers with goods which are processed by this stevedoring company.

This information becomes available to officials of Odessa customs and allows conducting an element of risk analysis without providing a hard copy of the act of weighing. It also eliminates the possibility of forgery of paper copies of documents showing the actual weight of the goods.

The first phase will be used in paper and electronic versions of the document.

The specified module was developed by the Data Processing Center ISPS closely with the IT department of HPC Ukraine.

The next step is to connect other weight complexes of Odessa and Ilyichivsk sea ports, as well as the abolition of the weight of the paper copy.
