The press service of Ilyichivsk Commercial Sea Port noted today, May 26.

According to the information, on the initiative of the Director of SE ICSP Yuri Kruk Ilyichivsk port was visited by a delegation of representatives of the famous French company Group Soufflet, specializing in industrial production and exports of malt and grain cargoes.

The company was founded 115 years ago and today is the worlds largest exporter of malt. For the last 12 years the company has been successfully operating on the Ukrainian market. The delegation was headed by Director and successor of the family business, the grandson of the founder of the company Group Soufflet Jean-Pierre Michel Soufflet, an award for special services to France, and the highest award of the state — the Order of the Legion of Honor.

During the visit of the French delegation in the port of Ilyichivsk talks with the leadership of the State Enterprise Ilyichivsk Commercial Sea Port about the prospects for the implementation of an infrastructure project on the basis of production capacity of the 4th terminal port were held. In particular, the French company showed interest in indoor warehouse capacity 24 and using it for storage and handling of grain cargoes.

During the meeting, the Director of Ilyichivsk Port Yuri Kruk made a brief presentation of the production capacity of the 4th terminal, as well as representatives of the delegation introduced the terms of cooperation of SE ICSP with the company Group Soufflet.

Director of the port proposed to divide the implementation of the project of public-private partnerships of SE ICSP with the company Group Soufflet into two stages.

The first stage involves the transfer capacity of the terminal in the long-term lease with the possibility of reconstruction of infrastructure and the transfer of land for the entire lease term. On the basis of the lease contract will be signed a package of agreements, including equity, and signed a social agreement includes the transfer of employees to work in the terminal company.

The second stage involves the privatization of leased capacity. To date, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the list of objects of state property, which are to be privatized in 2015. It is said in a government decree 271 from 12 May 2015. Proposals to authorized management bodies in the list of state property, which is subject to privatization, included more than 300 objects, including 13 ports of Ukraine. Following the approval of the decision of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine will take effect.

The parties also discussed the procedural and technical aspects of this project.

At the end of the meeting Mr Soufflet expressed a wish to an early agreement on all the issues and willingness to soon announce the launch of this work.
