Two ships for Kamchatka, designed in Odesa, launched in Vladivostok

ODESA, OCTOBER 3rd, 2011, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — Two ships for Kamchatka, designed by Marine Engineering Bureau, Odesa, have been launched in Vladivostok, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The press service of Mraine Engineering Bureau informed today, 3 October.

As previously reported, on August 30—31, these ships were loaded on board of HHL Hamburg on the roads to the port of Kavkaz. Hansa Heavy Lift GmbH delivered the precious cargo to its destination — the port of Vladivostok. M/V Sosnovka-1 and Sosnovka-2 built by Sosnovka Shipyard, and are sea of rolling propelled barges with 250 t carrying capacity.

They have the following characteristics: length overall — 42.6 m, length between perpendiculars — 38.4 m, width overall — about 8.82 m, width — 8,6 m, full speed — 9 knots.

Allowable load on the cargo deck — 15 tons per axle vehicles, tracked vehicles, or weight to 60 tons Container, TEU — 12 units. Cargo crane — 7.3 m (radius 20 m).

INFORMATION: OJSC Marine Engineering Bureau was registered on March, 23rd, 1995 in Odesa, Ukraine. It was founded by a group of scientists of the Shipbuilding Department, Odesa National Maritime University. OJSC Marine Engineering Bureau works out pre-contract classification projects, projects of “conversion”, upgrade and renewal of sea vessels for internal and mixed journeys. They also prepare projects for increasing carrying and container capacities of ships and other related work.
