ODESA, APRIL 22nd, 2013, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE ― International seminar Strategic aspects of infrared technologies in education has been held in Odesa, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

Odesa City Council Information Office reported on Friday, 19 April.

According to the Office, the organizers of the seminar were the International Telecommunication Union in cooperation with the O.S. Popov Odesa National Academy of Telecommunications and the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine.

For three days, for scientific discussions on the issues of the implementation of communicative technologies in education of preschool children, safety of Internet space for students and online-education for teachers brought together experts in the field of education from 9 states. Participants represented the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Belarus, Republic of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Republic of Tajikistan, the Republic of Moldova, the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Russian Federation and Ukraine.

The Department of Education and Science of Odesa City Council conducted a comprehensive and purposeful work on the introduction of new technologies in education, including the use of infrared technologies. In the citys schools online-learning of teachers is continuing, the studies of the level of innovative schools are conducted. Pupils take part in distant regional olympiads, a variety of online projects, conferences, said the head of the Education and Science Department Zinaida Tsvirinko.

The report The introduction of information and communication technologies in the Odesa educational institutions was delivered by the head of the Youth Policy, Information-Innovation Technologies Office of the Education and Science Department of Odesa City Council Irina Stolbova.

Modern secondary education is unthinkable without the using of information and communication technologies. Today it is impossible to find a secondary school, which does not study or use information technologies, Irina Stolbova said.
