First exit session of Salzburg seminar in Ukraine will take place in Odessa, the chancellor of Mechnikov ONU stated

ODESSA, SEPTEMBER 26TH, 2008, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE The chancellor of Odessa national university by I. I. Mechnikov Valentin Smintina informed that the first exit session of Salzburg seminar in Ukraine devoted to innovative processes will take place in Odessa in October, IA Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

This was reported today, on September 26th, during the briefing devoted to the work of Salzburg seminar in Odessa.

From the words of the chancellor Salzburg global seminar will be taking place in Odessa from October 2nd to 4th on the basis of Mechnkiov ONU with the support of Odessa regional state administration, Odessa regional council, Odessa and Ilichevsk city halls.

This event has a significant meaning for the city and university, as this is the first exit session of Salzburg global seminar which is to take place in Ukraine. The first which will be held within one of the new initiatives of the seminar Innovations in economics based on knowledge. The seminar session will be focused on the development of effective models of innovative and investment strategies for Odessa and Odessa region, which are based on cooperation of universities, researchers, enterprises and authorities, Valentin Smitnina informed.

The President of Ukraine Viktor Yuschenko, the chairman of Odessa regional administration Nikolay Serduk, the chairman of Odessa regional council Nikolay Skorik, the deputy mayor of Odessa Tatyana Fidirko and also representatives of business-structures, enterprises and establishments of different countries will be included in the experts team who will speak up at the seminar, the chancellor noted.
