II Children Fest Do Good to be held 1 February ― 10 June in Odesa

ODESA, FEBRUARY 4th, 2013, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE ― The II Charity Children Festival Do Good will be held thru 1 February ― 10 June in Odesa

The President of the charity foundation Pchelka Elena Pavlenko reported today, 4 February.

According to Mrs Pavlenko, a charity foundation Pchelka organizes such festival for the second time. The first festival was held in 2012. It was attended by more than 100 schools, preschools and creative studios of Odesa.

During the festival, the children gave books, toys, handicrafts to seriously ill peers who are on long-term treatment in the Department of Oncology and Hematology from different cities of Ukraine. Foundation volunteers conducted a series of various activities to raise funds to help children with severe pathologies. Money raised from the event (UAH 54 thousand 879) used to buy medical equipment for the Odesa Regional Childrens Hospital.

The festival started 1 February and end 10 June.

The programme of the II Charity Festival Do Good include the exhibition drawings of children treated at the Department of Hematology in the shop windows in Deribasovskaya Str., the fourth all-Ukrainian action Get well child, a charity concert for children and charitable fund participants in the House of Clowns, a charity concert of children's ensemble Childhood in the hall of the Odesa Philharmonic, the first charity auction ― Odesa artists for the children Good health! and others.
