ODESA, JUNE, 2nd, 2009, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE 1 June, in Gelibolu (Turkey) M/V Modulus 2 designed by Odesa Marine Engineering Bureau was commissioned, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The agency was informed about it today, 2 June, at the press-service of Odesa Marine Engineering Bureau.

According to the press-service, the vessels of this type are attractive from the point of view of equipment delivery for intensive exploration of the Caspian shelf zone. Non-standard cargo items can be delivered without transshipment to any European port or port in the Persian Gulf through the interior waterways of the Russian Federation.

The vessels trial speed was 11,7 knots, exploitation speed being 11 knots. Due to comparatively small size and the manoeuvring propulsion device good manoeuvrability is provided in river, shallow waters, and under tight conditions. The crew consists of 12 people, 13 beds available onboard.

M/V Modulus 2 was laid 2 April, 2008.
