• Yet one more sister city

Mayor of Odesa Eduard Gurvits and Mayor of Rostov-on-Don Mikhail Chernyshev signed and agreement about setting of sister-city relationships between the cities.

The festive signing was taking place 3 September at 13:00 during a meeting with the delegation from Russia headed by Mikhail Chernyshev.

As it was stated during the meeting the aim of these relations is widening of the friendly ties between the citizens of both cities, economic development, deepening of cultural and scientific ties and collaboration in the spheres of ecology and tourism, since the cities were always so close to each other.

3 September at the press-conference dedicated to the signing of cooperation agreement between Odesa and Rostov-on-Don Mikhail Chernyshev Rostov-on-Don Mayor stated, “We are working today on the development project of Rostov. We discussed this issue at the city council. We created a specialized department to work on it”.

“We are really curious about how tourism is developed here in Odesa. We have a point of common interests, since this is a rather complicated sphere. Do not think it is so easy to develop tourism. It is quite a bit complicated. If we exchange experience, this experience will be much use”, — Rostov Mayor stressed.
