NIKOLAEV, JANUARY, 24TH, 2008, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — 100 million hrn of direct investments it was drawn to Nikolaev in 2007, “Context-Prichernomorie” correspondent reports. It was reported by Vladimir Chaika – the head of the city during the session of the Advisory council of parties and public organizations.

During the session mayor has also reported about the city budget — 2007.

As he said, the direct investments were put in construction of sea terminals, housing complexes and shopping centers.

«Considering the prospects of the sea industry, the investments could be increased twice as many in this year», — considers V. Chaika.

All in all, according to the mayor, the budget of Nikolaev-2007 together with the state subventions has made up 648 million hrn. Mayor considers that these means were spent very reasonably. For the first time for many years 70 million hrn was spent on housing and public utilities. These funds were spent on reconstruction of boiler-houses, gas- and water pipes. “It was not possible to use this sum completely because of law in force about state purchases”, the mayor has noted. 5 million hrn. were spent on liquidation of salary debts of the city municipal enterprises workers, especially of housing and public utilities workers. 12 million hrn received on the Completion program of Tashlykskaya hydroelectric pumped storage power station were directed on restoration of the streets in Matveevka, Ternovka and Korabelnyi district. According to V. Chaika there were no schools or kindergartens closed in the past year. At the same time the kindergarten with the capacity of 149 places has been repaired and opened. 6 fluorographic devices were bought due to city budget funds in order to help to the public health services sphere.
