KHERSON, NOVEMBER, 12TH, 2008, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE – Last week the police of Kherson region solved 1 crime – on November 6th a 45 year old man strangled his own wife in Tsurupinsk, IA “Context-Prichernomorie” correspondent reports.

This was reported by the head of the public relations department of MHAD Lieutenant Colonel Elena Petrova at the briefing in the administration of the Ministry of home affairs of Ukraine in Kherson region.

According to her data the spouses abused alcoholic spirits and during the party the wife wanted more vodka. She demanded her husband to go and buy it.

The husband refused stating he had no money and had to pay off the loan for the house. The wife didn’t calm down. Then the husband seized her by the throat and started strangling. When she fainted and fell on the floor he tried to bring her to her senses, splashed water on her. Then he called the first aid. When the doctors arrived the woman was already dead.

When the law enforcement officers arrived at the place of the tragedy the man started lying, thinking up versions what had happened to his wife, but finally he confessed.

A complaint was made by this fact according to art. 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine “Intended killing”.
