AMCU allowed the Cypriot Morgtawn Holdings to buy more than 50% of Kherson PR

KHERSON, NOVEMBER, 15TH, 2008, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE – The Antimonopoly committee allowed the company Morgtawn Holdings Ltd (Cyprus) to buy more than 50% shares of Kherson petroleum refinery (close corporation “Kherson PR”), IA “Context-Prichernomorie” correspondent reports.

This was reported to the agency in the press-service of AMCU.

As the representatives of the press-service specified Morgtawn Holdings do not realize economical activity in Ukraine and is connected by the relations of control with the company Omersta Holdings Ltd (Virgin Islands) and the citizen of Cyprus Teodora Kiriaku.

At present 20.7% of PR belong to the company Brega Holdings Ltd, 20% to Malveron Holdings Ltd, 20.2% to Marlani Holding Ltd (all of them are Virgin Islands).

33% of shares of the refinery were bought by PR itself.

INQUIRY: At the end of 2007 the Russian group “Alliance” withdrew from shareholders’ group of Kherson PR and the main owner remained the businessman Igor Eremeev who owns the group of the company “Continium”.

At the beginning of July 2007 the petroleum company “Alliance” (Moscow, Russia) and Co Ltd. “Western petroleum group” (Lutsk) signed the agreement about strategic collaboration that provided for change in the structure of the share capital of the factory the assets of which were owned by CC “Kherson PR” and PC “Kherson oil refining”.

In October 2006 the Antimonopoly committee allowed the petroleum company “Alliance-Ukraine” (Kiev) to create CC “Kherson PR” for the reconstruction of production facilities of Kherson PR (PC “Kherson oil refining”).
