NIKOLAEV, NOVEMBER, 15TH, 2008, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE – An unemployed man together with his friend carried out furniture from another’s apartment and beat the owner within an inch of his life with hammer, IA “Context-Prichernomorie” correspondent reports.

This was reported to the agency today, on November 15th, in the sector of public relations of Nikolaev city administration of police.

Two slightly drunk Nikolaev unemployed men met a young woman who offered them to earn a little money. The three went to one of the private yards in the area of Alyaudsky bridge of Nikolaev city intended for a few houses. They entered the house to carry out the furniture and household appliances from it. At this time the actual owner of the apartment was sleeping in the next room who after waking up started protesting. Then one of the malefactors took a hammer and started striking blows on the head of the apartment’s owner. After the man stopped moving the burglars continued their work with no worry.

Some time later they were interrupted by the neighbors that paid attention to the “new guests” carrying the furniture through the yard with diligence. The tipsy company took to their heels immediately. Then one of the house tenants sat in his car and ran down the woman and the man. The third burglar that had beaten the apartment owner on the head managed to escape. But already in a few hours he was found by the employees of PSPD propping up the post.

At present the cruelly beaten man is in the gravest state in hospital, and as to the arrested three a complaint was made against them by the article 115 of part 1 of CC of Ukraine “attempted murder”.
