NIKOLAEV, DECEMBER, 2ND, 2008, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE – Today the final tournament of the championship of Ukraine in chess among women started in Nikolaev regional chess club, IA “Context-Prichernomorie” correspondent reports.

12 participants headed by the silver prize-winner of the World chess competitions-2008 in the composition of the national team of Ukraine Inna Gaponenko from Kherson will struggle for the championship title by the round robin. Beside I. Gaponenko Crimean chess players Tatyana Vasilevich, Oxana Gritzaeva and Diana Arutunova, Kiev chess player Ekaterina Dolzhikova, Lvov chess players Ekaterina Matzeiko, Miroslava Grabinskaya and Vita Chulivskaya, Ludmila Alsanyan from Dnepropetrovsk, Svetlana Cherednichenko from Donetsk, Olga Ivanenko from Nikolaev and Aleksandra Bulakh from Chernigov will struggle for the first place.

The competitions are to end on December 12th. The champion and prize-winners of the championship will receive medals, certificates of the corresponding degrees of the Ministry of Ukraine of family, youth and sports affairs and also prizes of the Federation of chess of Ukraine.
