2 thousand ships have passed through the Channel “Danube – Black Sea” since navigation there was renewed.

NIKOLAEV, DECEMBER, 5TH, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE – on December, 1st 2008 the vessel “Leonid Lysin” passed the Channel “Danube – Black Sea” (estuary Bystroe) and became number 2000, since the renewal of navigation through the deep-water navigable channel “Danube – Black Sea” (since April, 2007), IA Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The press-service of SE “Delta Pilot” reported about it today on December, 5th.

The tanker “Leonid Lysin” (Russian flag) was moving from the Port of Azov (Russia) to the port of Galati (Romania). The ship’s length is 113,5 m, draught – 2,8 m, deadweight – 3 thousand 345 tons, the cargo carried – 1 thousand 560 tons of diesel fuel.

The ship was piloted by Ruslan Putintsev of Yedinaya marine piloting service “Dunay” SE “Delta Pilot”and Alexandr Chumachenko – a pilot-operator in charge of digital microwave radio station “Vilkovo”.
