MYKOLAIV, JANUARY, 23rd, 2009, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE – GE Delta-Pilot purchased a pilot cutter, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.
The press-service of GE Delta-Pilot informed the agency about it today, 23 January, 2009.
New pilot cutter of Baltic-180 type made by Estonian shipyard arrived under her own power having covered more than 4 thousand km under constant storm conditions thus proving her reliability and durability.
The purchased cutter as compared with the other available (they are 18) is a cutter of new generation, so she substantially differs from them.
She was built under new European standards, being highly automatized, she can be used for a long period with practically no technical service.
The vessel is more economic and fast (her speed may reach 21 knots per hour, having engine power 1 thousand 200 hp) comfortable and controlled.
Her hull is made of aluminum that led to reduction of her total weight by two times. The new 18-meter long vessel may be served by two-member crew and take up to 6 pilots onboard. One of the main peculiarities is noiselessness and good ability for winter operation.
Before the end of January 2009 the cutter is going to become exploited.
