Nevsky Shipbuilding-Shiprepair Plant launches V.I.P.-class vessel designed by Odesa Marine Engineering Bureau

ODESA, JULY, 13th, 2009, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE – 10 July, Nevsky Shipbuilding-Shiprepair Plant launched V.I.P.-class vessel designed by Odesa Marine Engineering Bureau, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The agency was informed about it today, 13 July at the press-service of Marine Engineering Bureau.

The ship was designed for race on internal routs of the Russian Federation, including Lakes Ladoga and Onega and the Gulf of Finland carrying up to 10 V.I.P. passengers onboard.

Overall length – 44,2 m, deck-length – 40,2 m, overall width – 7,015 m. The vessel’s above-water size allows sailing under the bridges of St. Petersburg.

Passenger accommodation area includes 5 double cabins consisting of a bed-room and a toilet. In the middle of the vessel there are saunas. Providing high level of comfort and luxury there are also a saloon and a promenade deck. The ship is equipped with a high-speed cutter and a hydrocycle.

The ship’s food and fuel autonomy is about five days. The crew consists of 6 members.

Approximate life is 15 years.

INFORMATION: OJSC “Marine Engineering Bureau” was registered on March, 23rd, 1995 in Odesa, Ukraine. It was founded by a group of scientists of the Shipbuilding Department, Odesa National Maritime University. OJSC “Marine Engineering Bureau” works out pre-contract classification projects, projects of “conversion”, upgrade and renewal of sea vessels for internal and mixed journeys. They also prepare projects for increasing carrying and container capacities of ships and other related work.
