ODESA, JULY, 21st, 2009, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE – The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted Illichivsk Merchant Sea Port’s Financial Plan 2009, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The agency was informed about it today, 21 July at the press-service of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Ukraine.

According to the press-service, Illichivsk Merchant Sea Port’s Financial Plan 2009 was adopted by the Cabinet’s Decree No 831-р dated 17 July, 2009.

According to the financial plan, the company is to receive 1, milliard UHA of income – 18 percent more than in 2008. Its pure income will make 19 8 million 200 thousand UAH, that is 1,6 times more of the actual income of 2008.

The port will pay, as established, 393 million 800 thousand UAH to State Budget and fund-in-trusts – 400 thousand UAH more than in 2008.

In addition the plan provides 380 million of the company’s capital investments.

INFORMATION: Illichivsk Merchant Sea Port is one of the ‘youngest’ on the Black Sea. The Port was erected in the Soviet period in 1960s mainly for sea trade with socialistic countries. It has railway and vehicle approaches connected with the country’s mains. There are several operating ferry-crossings: Illichivsk–Varna (Bulgary), Illichivsk–Poti and Illichivsk – Batumi (Georgia). Cargo operation complexes of the Port consisting of 28 berths having total length 5 thousand 500 metres are equipped with modern cargo-operating machinery.
