ODESA, AUGUST, 3rd, 2009, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE – The repair works on M/V will take about 20 days, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

Yuriy Vaskov, First Deputy Head of Odesa Merchant Sea Port reported it today, 3 August during a press-conference.

“31 July in compliance with the Decree of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Ukraine, based on the decision of the Governmental Commission M/V Beriks moored berth No 40 of Odesa Merchant Sea Port, Ukraine Shipyard area. Since then the vessel has been moored there connected to the power-saving net of the port. Thus the operation of the refrigerating machines was provided from the land power supply unit. There is a post of State Customs Service of Ukraine watching no cargo should be discharged, meat products first of all. In addition the vessel’s holds were sealed by the proper controlling organs”, Mr. Vaskov said.

He also reported the time required to carry out the ship’s repair would approximately make 20 days.
