MYKOLAIV, AUGUST, 25th, 2009, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE – Through January-July 2009 automobile and water transport of Mykolaiv Oblast 3 million tons of cargoes, cargo turnover making 529 million 200 thousand ton/kilometres that is respectively 21,9 percent less and 18,2 percent more than during the same period last year, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The agency was informed about it today, 25 August at the State Committee of Statistics in Mykolaiv Oblast.

The majority of the cargoes (96,3 percent of the overall volume) were shipped by automobile transport. Compared to January-July 2008 the volume of automobile transportations (taking into account those made by private bodies-entrepreneurs) went 21,9 percent down making 2 million 900 thousand tons.

Water transport shipments were carried out only in domestic directions. Throughout January-July of the current year 108 thousand 700 tons of cargoes were transported, that is 22,7 percent less, than during the same period last year.
