ODESA, AUGUST, 28th, 2009, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE – A ship yard of Nizhny Novgorod “Nizhegorodskiy Teplokhod” launched an ice-breaking tug Portovyy 1 designed by the engineers of Odesa Marine Engineering Bureau, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The agency was informed about it today 28 august at the press-service of Marine Engineering Bureau.

According to their press-service, the tug was designed for the Affiliate Office of Norilsk Nickel beyond the Arctic Circle. The tug under this project is the first of series of river tugs and pushers to be created on the internal routs of the Russian Federation.

The tug was designed for canting operations in ports and transport towage within the roads of the Port of Dudinka.
