MYKOLAIV, SEPTEMBER, 23rd, 2009, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — In 7 months of 2009 foreign trade surplus in Mykolaiv Oblast has exceeded USD 396 million, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The agency was informed about it today 23 September at the State Committee of statistics in Mykolaiv Oblast.

According to the Committee, in January-July 2009 the export volume of goods made USD 772 million 400 thousand falling 8.6 percent compared to the same period in 2008, the volume of import made USD 376 million which is 29.4 percent reduction.

The companies of the Oblast cooperated with partners from 124 countries. The share of trade with the CIS countries made 34.5 percent of export and 37.2 percent of import in the Oblast; the volume of trade with the EU countries made 14.2 and 23.7 percent respectively. The main export trade partners were Russia, Egypt, Spain, Bangladesh, Saudi Arabia, Norway and the Islamic Republic of Iran. The main import partners were Russia, Guinea, Italy, Belarus, Guyana, China, Brazil and Germany.

The basic Oblast’s exported goods were those of phytogenic origin, the goods of chemical and related to it industry, and mechanic and electric equipment. The main imported goods were mechanic and electric equipment, minerals, non-precious metals and goods made of them, ready-made food, the goods of chemical and related to it industry.

In January-July 2009 the import of the goods made on commission decreased by 55.1 percent making USD 5 million 900 thousand. The export of the goods made of their basis decreased by 44.2 percent making USD 9 million 500 thousand.
