ODESA, SEPTMBER, 23rd, 2009, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE – 22 September, a festive keel-laying of a multipurpose rescue cutter designed by the Marine Engineering Bureau took place on the territory of OJSC Neva Shiprepair and Shipbuilding Yard, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The agency was informed about it today 23 September at the press-service of the Marine Engineering Bureau.

According to the press-service, this is a high ice class vessel having reinforced double-deck superstructure of the forecastle, bow location of the accommodation and the engine room in the middle, equipped with a diesel-electric power with two full revolving steering propeller column and bow thrusters has the following parameters: hull length – 73 m, width – 16.6 m, full-speed – 15 knots, endurance – 20 days.

INFORMATION: OJSC “Marine Engineering Bureau” was registered on March, 23rd, 1995 in Odesa, Ukraine. It was founded by a group of scientists of the Shipbuilding Department, Odesa National Maritime University. OJSC “Marine Engineering Bureau” works out pre-contract classification projects, projects of “conversion”, upgrade and renewal of sea vessels for internal and mixed journeys.
