YUZHNOUKRAINSK, OCTOBER, 20th, 2009, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE – The experts from the International Atomic Energy Agency gave their recommendations on power units’ ageing management at the Yuzhnoukarinsk Power Plant, Mykolaiv Oblast, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The agency was informed about it today 20 October at the press-service of the power plant.

The IAEA expert commission dedicated to the process of choosing the elements of the system important to their including into the power units’ ageing management programme was working at the Yuzhnoukrainsk Power plant through 13 – 15 October.

The IAEA representatives and the management board of the power plant have summed the work done up and believe the commission was successfully held. According to the experts, the approaches at the power station to the ageing management mainly meat the international standards and rules. However there is space for improvement. The IAEA experts gave their recommendations on how to improve the ageing management of the elements important to the safety at power plants.

The experts of the Yuzhnoukrainsk power plant believe this commission to be very important. The recommendations they managed to get during it will help them adopt other country’s experience in the sphere.
