ODESA, NOVEMBER, 9th, 2009, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE – State-owned enterprises Odesa Commercial Sea Port, Illichivsk Commercial Sea Port and Commercial Sea Port of Yuzhny suffered cuts of transshipments up to 15 million tonnes, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The agency was informed about it today 9 November at the press-service of the port.

According to their information, in January-October these ports have reduced the amount of cargo operations by 20 percent and the volume of transit – by 30 percent.

In compliance with the operative data provided by the Minister of Transport and Communications, transshipment of cargoes by the state port complex made 89 million 129 thousand tonnes in 10 months, that is 20 percent less than during the same period in 2008.

In total the mentioned ports lost over 12 million tonnes of cargoes.
