ODESA, FEBRUARY, 10th, 2010, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE – Yesterday 9 February, FC Chornomorets defeated Lithuanian FC Ekranas in a trial match, 3:1, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The agency was informed about it today 10 February at the press-service of FC Chornomorets.

According to the press-service, the Lithuanian opponent of FC Chornomorets has been the winner of the national competition for four times, many times participating in the European Cups. This winter the club was playing at the Champion Cup in Moscow beating the second squad of Dynamo Kyiv, however having given its positions in to Aktobe, Kazakhstan.

They also added, the game Chornomorets vs Ekranas took place yesterday 9 February at a training field of Arcadia hotel, Turkey.

INFORMATION: FC Chornomorets Odesa is a professional football club in the Ukrainian Premier League. The club's home ground is the 34,362 capacity Tsentralnyi-Chornomorets Stadium in the city of Odesa. The club was officially formed in 1936 as Dynamo, but in fact as its logo shows it was established in 1959. The official club colours are black, blue and white. The club was a founding member of the Ukrainian Premier League. After the 1997-98 season, the club was relegated to the Persha Liha. The club was then promoted back to the Premier League for the 1999-2000 season, but it took second-to-last place that year and was relegated again. Chornomorets resurfaced for the 2002-03 season and is currently in the Premier League. Chornomorets was deducted 6 points by FIFA on November 6, 2008. It was confirmed by Ukrainian Premier League on March 2, 2009. After this decision and due to the poor form in the season, Chornomorets was only 2 points above the relegation zone.
