ODESA, MARCH, 19th, 2010, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE – Through the period of January-February 2010, 39 million 500 thousand passengers used the services of passenger transport, which is 13.1 percent less compared to the same period in 2009, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The agency was informed about it today 19 March at the Odesa Oblast Chief Administration of Statistics.

According to the data provided, in two months of 2010 39 million 500 thousand passengers used the services of passenger transport. Thus passenger operation amounted to 1 milliard 238 million 100 thousand passengers/km, which is respectively 13.1 and 5.7 percent less than in two months of 2009.

Also through the period of January-February 2010, 3 million 309 thousand 4 tons of cargoes were transported which was 1.7 percent more than during the same period in 2009. thus the cargo turnover went 4.6 percent up making 8 milliard 191 million 500 tons/km.
