ODESA, APRIL, 23rd, 2010, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE – Through January-March 2010 61 million 812 thousand 100 passengers used passenger transport in Odesa which is 13.3 percent less compared to the same period in 2009, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The agency was informed about it today 23 April at the State Administration of Statistics in the Odesa Oblast.

According to their report, within 3 months of 2010 61 million 812 thousand 100 passengers used passenger transport in Odesa which is 13.3 percent less compared to the same period in 2009. Thus the turnover of passenger operations made 1 billion 974 million 400 thousand passengers/km which is compared to the same period in 2009 13.3 and 5.5 percent less respectively.

Automobile services (taking into account the shipment carried out by private entities) were used by 35 million passengers which is 6.7 percent less compared to the same period in 2009. a significant decrease of volumes happened to be in the sphere of water, electric, air and railway transport making 30.4, 26.7, 20 and 2.5 percent respectively.
