The volume of export of goods in the region goes 3.3 percent up, while import – 13.3 percent down

MYKOLAIV, 26th, 2010, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE – In January-February 2010 the volume of export of goods in Mykolaiv region made USD 80 million 600 thousand having 3.3 percent increased, while the volume of imported made USD 75 million 900 thousand and increased by 13.3 percent, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The agency was informed about it today 36 April at the Mykolaiv Regional Administration of Statistics.

Positive trade balance made USD 104 million 700 thousand, where export/import cover ratio made 2.4.

The companies of the region were cooperating with 90 countries. 42.7 percent of the total export and 26.1 of the import volume fell on the CIS countries, while it was only 5.9 and 20.1 percent with the EU countries. The principal partner countries were Russia, Tunis, Egypt, Jordan, the Islamic Republic of Iran, and Trukey, the largest import partners were Guinea, Russia, Guyana, China and Belarus.

The basis of the regional export was composed of the goods of vegetable origin, chemical industry and related products, mechanical and electric facilities. The import was composed of base metals and goods made of them, mechanical and electric facilities, transport facilities and gears, ready-made food.
