ODESA, NOVEMBER 19th, 2010, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — Chief coordinator of bicycle races in Odesa Leonid Rzhepishevskiy says participants of 70-day-long bicycle race “Ocean of Friends” will have to go about 6 thousand km, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.
Mr Rzhepishevskiy stated it today, 19 November, at the press conference “Taking Stock of Bicycle Season 2010 in Odesa Oblast. Awarding the Winners and Organizers.”
70-day-long bicycle race “Ocean of Friends” is dedicated to the 70th Anniversary of defence of Odesa. This is a very serious, notable and big event. It will start in Odesa and will first of all concern the hero-cities — Sevastopol, Kerch and Novorossiysk.
“The aim of the project is to involve an ‘ocean’ of friends, so that this ocean is calm and tender for the citizens of the Black-Sea region. The participant will ride 6 thousand km, citizens of Mykolaiv and Kherson will be joining them on the way as well as citizens of other countries — Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania. We will also drop in at our sister cities — Constanta and Varna”, informed the organizer of the event.
