Export goes 6 percent up and import — 0.8 percent down within nine months

MYKOLAIV, NOVEMBER 22nd, 2010, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — Within January—September 2010, the level of export in Mykolaiv Oblast grew by 6%, while import went 0.8% down, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The agency has been informed about it today, 22 November, at Chief Administration for Statistics in Mykolaiv Oblast.

According to their data, the positive foreign trade balance made USD 534 million 600 thousand, the export/import coverage ratio reached 1.9.

The companies of the Oblast were in cooperation with 124 countries of the world. The level of trade with CIS countries made 31.4% of export and 40.2% of import, with the EU countries — 11.8% and 18.1% respectively. The largest foreign export partners were Russia, Egypt, Iran, Saudi Arabia and Turkey; the largest importers of the stated period were Russia, Guinea, Belarus, Guyana, Brazil and China.

The basis of import was composed by plant products, chemical industry and related commodities, mechanical and electric equipment. The import was mostly composed of mineral goods, mechanical and electric equipment, non-precious metals, ready-made food products, vehicles and railway equipment.

In January—September 2010, the import of goods made on commission increased 10.6 times and made USD 76 million 300 thousand. The export of related products increased by 14.6 times making USD 182 million 900 thousand.
