MYKOLAIV, DECEMBER 29th, 2010, CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE — In December 2010, a number of new modern weather stations were installed at some Delta-Pilot’s navigation regulation points, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

The agency has been informed about it today, 29 December, at the press office of GE Delta-Pilot.

The new stations are capable of measuring the speed and direction of wind, atmospheric pressure, temperature, the amount of precipitation and relative humidity.

The new equipment had been certified by GE Ukrmetrteststandart.

Today, the data from the VAISALA WXT 520 station is going to Ship Navigation Regulation Centre in Izmail, Vilkovo and Reni, Ochakiv and Shyroka Balka, as well as Feodosia.

The new stations widened the capacity of the pilot-operators. Now all the information is displayed on the screen of the pilot-operator’s computer, the vessels being within the responsibility zone of the pilot-operator can track the data online.
